The Commuter Craft Innovator Aircraft provides transportation solutions not previously available.  The Innovator™ is a side-by-side two-place “pusher” homebuilt kit plane that is categorized as an experimental aircraft. This new generation of personal travel is safer, more comfortable, more economical, more efficient, better performing, and more ecologically responsible than other transportation options in its class.

The Innovator Aircraft does all of this at a competitive price.  This product is born from the objective that the basic design had to be best-in-class and provide exceptional range, speed, handling, safety and comfort for the two-place aircraft market.

Commuter Craft created the aircraft using computer modeling to assure superior structural strength, with minimal weight and aerodynamic drag.

The ergonomically advanced cockpit provides superior comfort and functionality, and can accommodate even very large pilots.

The styling is sleek and powerful, as well as functional, and creates a new generation of personal travel when compared to other two-place vehicles in the market.

Safety Features

The Innovator Aircraft’s composite structure provides protection for the passengers by dissipating energy similarly to survival pods for extreme race cars and boats.

The Innovator Aircraft was designed in a three-surface aerodynamic configuration. This three-surface design consists of a main wing, canard, and conventional elevator. This configuration makes the Innovator Aircraft resistant to stalls and spins which greatly enhances safety.

Efficiency & Range

The Innovator Aircraft achieves excellent fuel mileage and is more “green” than other designs.  This is due in part to its light weight and sleek aerodynamic design.  The high efficiency of the Innovator Aircraft means better performance and longer range.  This range can be increased further by installing the optional long-range fuel tanks.


The cockpit is sports car-like yet more comfortable.  Side-by-side seating maximizes comfort and safety. At 60 inches, the cabin is significantly wider than other aircraft in its class. The cockpit canopy provides generous headroom.  The controls are positioned for natural and comfortable use.

The seating is reclined like a fighter jet seat, supporting the back, head and legs. The design of the seats reduces pressure points and provides a new level of comfort for long trips. Armrests are six-inches wide in the outboard strakes and a 12 inch wide console resides between the seats.

The seat back and rudder pedals are both adjustable for people ranging from 5’2” to 6’8” in height, and they accommodate occupants weighing to over 300 pounds. These features differ markedly from other light sport and general aviation aircraft, which cannot easily accommodate large people.

Canopy entry is a major improvement over current designs.  It opens forward to facilitate entry and exit without stepping on the seat.  This also provides easy access to the instruments as needed without having to climb upside down under the dash.
